I agree to be a shareholder in the Legare Farms 2012 vegetable crop. As a shareholder I am taking the risk of a crop loss along with Legare Farms due to weather or other factors beyond human control. Should there be a crop loss, I understand there will not be a refund of money.
I understand that vegetables have a short shelf life and it is my responsibility to pick up my vegetables every week. I will not expect Legare Farms to replace vegetables not picked up.

Hi, I am interested in trying the half share…first timer. Having trouble picturing how much food to expect each week…can you give me an idea? Thanks.
A full share is a half bushel of vegetables per week and a half bushel is about the same size as a shopping basket like you pick up and carry around in the grocery store. You will get half as much in a half share but of coarse, you won’t get a half of a watermelon or a pumpkin. You won’t get a half head of cabbage but you would get a smaller one in a half. A good example is a half share would get 4 tomatoes instead of 8 and 4 ears of corn instead of 8. We try to let you pick out your own vegetables whenever possible. The vegetables start out will cool season crops such as collards, kale, and turnips which may be light then goes into the warm season crops such as tomatoes, corn, squash, and cucumbers which will be heavier. We do 9 weeks starting late April or early May then we take the heat of the summer off and start back the first of October with the Fall vegetables. In Fall we do just the opposite starting with warm season vegetables and finishing up with cool season vegetables.
Hope this helps, please let me know if you have other questions.
